FAQ

Accounting questions

Is accounting mandatory for a Bosnian company?

Yes. Every company must keep double-entry books and file annual financial statements and a corporate income tax return, even if it had no activity during the year.

When does the company have to register for VAT?

When taxable turnover exceeds BAM 100,000 in a calendar year. Voluntary registration below the threshold is possible and sometimes useful; we advise you case by case.

How do I send documents?

By email or a shared folder — photos or PDFs of invoices and contracts. Bank statements we can receive directly from the bank with your authorisation.

Who are the accountants?

Licensed accountants in Sarajevo who work with foreign-owned companies daily. You have one contact who answers in English.
